Graphic design is all about using original ideas and creation in order to make publications visually attractive and eye catching.  Graphic design will often include a mixture of text, image and colour and in some more advanced internet sources, can include motion and video.

As markets are getting more competitive and less rigid, businesses need to stand out from their competitors in order to attract new customer and retain old ones.  If their products are similar, which is often the case, they need to make it seem like theirs is better.  Product packing is often the way to that this happens.  If a product is well packaged, pleasing on the eyes and look professional, these attitudes will be reflected upon the product and the brand.  This indicates that this is a very important aspect of a business.  If the customer then visits a webpage or wants more information via leaflets, the appearance has to be high-quality also.  This is where the graphic design has to be consistent across all sources in order to seem professional and help aid brand, logo retention.
